Discussion:

Alan initiated the conversation by saying that a CEO with whom he has been working – including facilitating a one day Open Space on ‘How do we make the most of this opportunity?’ said recently:

“I have long believed that there were two main roles of a CEO, to sustain the vision and values of the organisation. Now I appreciate that their is another.

This is to foster and nurture ‘informality.’ Since this has been happening I sense that the quality of our relating, as associated standard of what we do, is higher than it has been before.”
