Difference (from prior major revision) (no other diffs)

Changed: 41,43c41
:At our in-person Board retreat in November, we identified that the openspaceworld.org site is really Michael Herman’s site (as he clarified - versus a collectively-held and designed site with the world community inputting and such). We appreciated this articulation as some of us did not know this was so. Also, there is confusion amongst users we have heard from regarding what they are donating to if they donate on that site - is a donation to become members of OSI-US, or for the site, or what - plus the OSI-US pages look like the rest of the site so it’s unclear that it is someone’s / Michael’s professional site and-or unclear if / that it’s OSI-US’s identity or site. And some users have also said it's unclear how to navigate or add to that site because they saw it as the one OS portal.

:We also agree that it is useful and important for OSI-US to have specific presence rather than to be invisible and behind-the-scenes so much. So, we will look at making and recommending some edits, adjustments and referrals to other web pages with our separate identity. These will need to be made on the openspaceworld.org and openspaceworld.net sites to ‘disentangle’ OSI-US from that identity and create / strengthen our own. In November Gabriel created a blog page - http://osius.wordpress.com . A side note that Doug has been posting OSI-US Board notes on the openspaceworld.net site as well as on the OSI-US Group on the Ning site. So our edits might refer to this sort of an OSI-US site.
