Roosevelt is a business consultant based in The Bahamas and working mainly in the Caribbean. He works in in the areas of personal and organizational transformation. He is codeveloper of the Festival in the Workplace(FITW) Process which faciltates transformation using lessons from the The Bahamas Junkanoo Festival and the Carnivals of Trinidad and Brazil and the new Orleans Mardi Gras.The main aim of FITW is to serve as a catalyst for the development of an organizational culture that stimulates and challenges people to become their most passionate,creative and productive selves, while experiencing joy,meaning and fulfillment.

Tell us about a meaningful experience you have had with self-organizing and/or ways you are engaging with new forms of leadership and organization.: Becoming a member of the ONE LOVE Junkanoo Association in 2007 and being involved with the preparation for the group's participation in the annual Junkanoo Parades in Nassau on Boxing Day(the day after Xmas) and New Year's Day. I am a member of the group's management team , I work in the "Shack" where the costumes are deigned and I also participate in the rehearsalswith the musicians and dancers. I am devloping important insights about leadership , the creative process and identity and community building from my involved in ONE LOVE.

What do you hope to learn at this gathering?: How to prepare the leadership and staff of traditional organizations to embrace the Self Organizing approach and allow it to become organically integrated into the life of the organization?
